Just walk across the room

Starting a three week series based around Hybels book, "just walk across the room"

If you are into emerging church thoughts, and are not really a fan of Hybels, I encourage you to read this book. It might be a real challenge and encouragement to you.

The whole idea of a "Matthew Party" which Bill spells out, sounds remarkably similar to the 'best ideas' I see coming out of the Emergent voice. Some might think it is ironic that it would come from the originator of the "Seeker Sensitive" movement.

So you assume because I'm in the "emerging church" I don't like Hybels. I'm a big fan and have a great deal of respect for him.
Maybe you should be a little more careful a about your generalisations.

I have not made that immediate assumption about you or any other Ecer.

"If you are into emerging church thoughts, AND are not really a fan of Hybels......"

I have met plenty of EMC people and many of them dont like Hybels at all, I think it is a fair generalisation, but there are always exceptions.
glad to hear your one of them :)

Maybe you should have written "or" instead of "and". That would have made your point more obvious.

crumbs, I dont want to be pedantic, but the point I was making was that Bill Hybels, Mr Seeker Sensitive Service, who stands as an anathema to many in the EC movement, (in my view) is making a lot of similar noises to those many in the EC are making.

Therefore in my view, the AND is the right word,
so there you go :)

but I respect your view... and right to state it.
