"“Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”

No - I don't believe security is mostly superstition. It is because of the security I have in the Father I can do things in His Name in this world. My security in Him is not superstition.

I suppose the point being made is not to trust in chariots...but the Father.

How people often refer to security is in the things they have aquired...even their health.

As we journey forward in our faith, I feel it is important to realise that we cannot know all God has in store for us, we cannot know the pain and change that might be 'visited' upon us.

Like Joshua, there is a time to 'foolishly' march around a city wall and blow a trumpet...and expect in faith that the walls will come down.
